Assisted Living

Assisted Living

The Assisted Living Federation of America gives us the best definition of Assisted Living Facilities: “Assisted living is a long-term care option that combines housing, support services and health care, as needed. Assisted living is designed for individuals who require assistance with everyday activities such as meals, medication management or assistance, bathing, dressing and transportation. Some residents may have memory disorders including Alzheimer’s, or they may need help with mobility, incontinence or other challenges.”

Assisted living is recommended for people who require long-term care less extensive than that provided in a nursing home or hospital. It includes regular assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). For residents of these communities, tasks such as meal preparation, observation of basic hygiene, home maintenance, and medication management are either difficult or impossible to do independently. These residents can include people with mobility limitations, memory problems, and other limiting conditions associated with aging.

We specialize in assisting seniors and their families find the perfect senior housing option when staying at home is no longer an option.
